Yes, and you were wrong for even making a comparison. Disrespectful to the glorious Vita.

And uh...an HD collection was going to be huge for the system? It's always been about Cod, AC of the announced games. Both are coming soon.

I'm personally interested on how Disgaea 3, basically a port of a game that didn't hit 1 million copies is viewed to be a savior of the system...He seems to have a problem determining the difference between internet hype and real world sales.

Incorrect.

I read on more than one occasion where people would say, "Just wait till Disgaea comes out!" after some other title that failed to move units came out.

You're a little late to the party here and should read from the beginning of the thread to figure out just what exactly I was stating.

I was giving you the benefit of a doubt since I did read your earlier statements. If you'd like, you could give me some sources....

Since you are using "several sites" as your references, I would love to see these sites you are referring to. :)

Dude. The point is, some game is out in the future. Fanboys say that that game is the next "big one". That game comes and goes, and then they look at the next yet-to-be-released title and say that game will do it.

It hasn't panned out yet and it's quite comical to watch these games come and go and be told how that one will be the next hot shit.

I'm not going to track down posts for you.

Either you somehow haven't noticed this or have chosen to ignore it.

Either way, we'll start fresh with CoD and AC for the Vita. Those are the current "big time hardcore sellers that coming soon" and we'll see how everything works out.

I won't forget this thread and will use it as my "source" after the 2-3 week "boost" they provide.

Sound good?

My point is that not all of those games listed were even remotely hyped as a saving grace. Some of them were disappointments in sales overall but things like Disgaea and MLB aren't known for selling millions in the first place. And unproven new IPs like SoundShapes and Gravity Rush don't tend to sell millions either unless they are on a console that has sold millions of systems already. LBP, AC, and CoD might only have a few week boosts, but those are games that can at least be cited as reasons people may buy the system. Not ports of older games and unproven franchises.

The reason I brought up internet hype is because there are a lot of websites where the sites have devoted following towards one game and will tout how excited they are for a game, and that game will not sell millions of copies (i.e. Disgaea, MLB: The Show, Persona, Tales of series, Fire Emblem, Alan Wake, Ratchet & Clank, the list goes on and on). Some of these games you would think should be selling as much as Call or Duty or Assassin's Creed, but it's simply not going to happen.

Well tell that to the dilusional fanboys that said "The big games haven't come out yet!" and cited those games.

I knew they weren't going to sell shit but I also don't want to crush the hopes and dreams of the fanboys.
