well that too, but that's a given. Nintendo cares about costs a lot since they are primarily a gaming company and nothing else, unity 4 is the perfect engine for them since it's a very capable engine, with constant support from Nintendo, they can update it with all sorts of cool shit for it too.

Yeah.
This action actually is not a first for Nintendo. I remember some months ago that reported buying some middleware thingie (no techie here!) and giving it away for free i think.
Overall, one more action of support to developers from Nintendo!
