Nope would not want.

At all? Why not, not considering price?

It would be expensive, uncomfortable, unproductive to local multi-player, and a general pain in the ass.

Holodeck or bust.

Expensive, probably. It wouldn't be $800 in a couple of years though or when made in larger quanities. It is actually reviewed to be very comfortable so you can't say that. Local multi-player would suffer....but this gen almost killed that already, plus it wouldn't be required hardware or useful for all game types. A general pain in the ass? Sounds more like the most practicle means of accomplishing this effect. Have you seen Microsoft's projector concept? Image imposed upon the walls that you have decorated with what not, less you make a bare room? A halodeck concept would require you to have a complete room dedicated to it, so expensive beyond any means.

A piece of headgear is small and provides a very large screen of view, one that encompasses the your entire range of sight. So compared to projection methods it would have angular difficulties when on walls and corners, which will create a level of uncanny.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
