ugh how was that ever part of my argument...
ever known a handheld with pressure sensitive trigger buttons to control speed etc? No
ever known home console racers that do it? Yeah....plenty.
All I see here is you grasping at straws to defend Ninty..for whatever reason, and failing.
And yes ports on handhelds always have adjustments made to make it more suitable for that experience. Usually this is done by simplifying things. That's how it has been...in almost all handheld racers. And again...lacking such a feature in a 'home' console really gimps the experience. The mere fact that you need to use a port on a handheld to defend this just shows the reality of it now doesn't it? Give it a rest already

He isn't using the handheld game to defend the Wii U, he is using it to highlight your double standard.
Your current argument basically amounts to "Vita games are usually dumbed down home console games, so it's okay" when in the past you would argue that this isn't the case.

ugh yes he is. Control options of a handheld is far less limited compared to a home console. No one would expect such a thing from a vita or a 3ds. But any racing game fan would expect it from a home console.
sigh really...the lot of you would defend ninty to the teeth no matter what it seems. If the port of a home console on a handheld is gimped I will call it out as such..especially if it's not due to the hardware's limitations. NFL vita...is a horror story in that aspect. and has been called out as such.
Fact of the matter is...it's a negative for a home console. There is no good reasoning behind it. And none of you who defends it blindly has given one either. If you actually have a decent argument as to why it's a good thing for the wiiu I'm all ears.

Don't know how it's a negative. I had no idea any games used triggers for acceleration. It's always been the A button in every racer i've played
Similar to clickable thumbsticks, really. Pullus Pardus had to demonstrate what those were to me via video, because i just thought every controller i was using that had them was just shoddily made.
