They will probably do that. Charge premium from us, proud japanese game supporters... then 4.99 from rich ipad people...

But have you seen the iOS games?  The transtion was not exactly great, the artwork was scaled up then smoothed, which is not ideal imo. The pixel work from the games was lost.

Well, the same can be said about these new 3D games, let's see if they can keep the original feeling. So far, I think they look great, as seen in the Ace Attorney vs Professor Layton trailer.

I think the direction of AA5 is about right. Keep a colorful manga-esque look with a handful of amusing exaggerated animations, and to change it up, play with the camera a little more. Bring more of a dizzying cinematic edge to the game's dizzying logical loops. The iOS versions would look better if the artwork was actually redone, but hey, it's the cheap version. Anyone who just wants to experience the game for once, as opposed to someone replaying it, likely won't care very much.

But I'm pretty biased here. iPad is my secondary portable gaming device, and I didn't pay a penny for it. :)
