You do know that they can still be implemented, right?
But it won't have a universal system like xbox/ps3. And it sounds stupid but whatching you trophy level or whatever rise is really fun. And getting a particularly tough or rare achievement feels awesome.
But isn't this already practiced in Nintendo games?
Take MK for example, they have a Global scale for Ghost races and (I think) points. It works, despite Wii never having an "Achievement System."
Its not the same as having all your games over years and years stack.
