Xenoblade Chronicles, Wii..., Pullblox/Pushmo, Maboshi, Soma Bringer; Nintendo have made plenty of new IPs in recent years.
On topic: If Nintendo could get S-E to finally make KH3 for the WiiU, it would be awesome
