Because Europe is a "more important" region for companies like Nintendo. That's why you see no threads complaining about that (horrible) price in brazil. 

I understand, you're right. But, if they don't bring down the price, the system will never sell. For example, PSVita coasts R$1400, which is equivalent to 700 dollars. I mean, IT WONT SELL. It's absolutely impossible.

I own the three home consoles of current gen, but it's VERY difficult to keep them. But the strange part, is that the 3DS is sold at a reasonable price, something around $350. Yeah, that's right, I'm saying a 350 USD handheld is cheap, just imagine how it is to be a gamer here...
