Aww, aw de ps twee sicsty fanboys butthuwt? Hewe, have a bandaid for your booboo.

Seriously, cry me a river. I am so happy to hear this news, the true nature of fanboys across the internet is finally emerging, and the day they are served crow is fast approaching. I - Can't - Wait.

Well I think the real issue is the lack of loyalty from Platinum Games to their fans. It wasn't Nintendo or Wii fans that made Bayonetta a success, yet they get the sequel?

I'm gonna presume this is a timed exclusive and the HD twins are going to get an improved version. If this stays a Wii U exclusive then Platinum Games is going to lose a lot of fans.

the first bayonnetta wasn't really a success, that's why there wasn't gonna be a sequel

and that's like the classic angry-fanboy phrase: "yeah it's a exclusive now but it will surely suck so they will make a cooler, improved, fantastic, upper dupper better version in my cooler better console"

Seriously? The game sold nearly 2 million copies and trounced the sales of every other title by Platinum Games. There are a lot of games that sell less and get sequels.

You're putting words in my mouth. Have we not seen late ports with content added in the past? Ninja Gaiden 3, Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City... just some examples.

well according to vgchartz it has 1.88m an that is pretty low considering it's a multiplatform game, it´s true that for some games it's a great success to sell even 1M but that doesn´t count if the game had a budget of 5M and i guess that was the case and that is why SEGA wasn't interested in making a sequel, those facts made me say that the game wasn't really a success

But it didn't sell 1M, it sold nearly 2M. Like I said before, a lot of games do worse even as multiplat and still get sequels.

I don't know if Sega was flatout refusing to publish a sequel. But I do think NIntendo made a better offer than Sega could.

"Bayonetta is a brand that we want to see become stronger, reaching the hands of more and more gamers, so we have continued to consult with SEGA, the previous game’s publisher, on how we can make sure this takes place. Our answer was a new partnership with Nintendo."

jesus man when are you going to get it? it doesn't matter if it sold 2 or 3 or 4M if it still didn't manage to cover the costs of producing it. do you think that it's a success for a game like grand theft auto to sell 1M? it´s just plain math or do you also need a lecture on that?
