im happy that a fighting game dev is not going to resort to just putting moves on the touchscreen, I would never buy a Wii U fighting game if it came to that, people already spam enough online and that would just make it worst, learn how to actually play the game. However if the dev is smart they would allow rooms with no touch screen allowed.

Normally in a semi-decent fighting game, spammers are a non-issue. I would much rather play against a spammer because you can just take advantage of frame delays with whatever move they are spamming and punish like crazy. Plus nothing could be more predictable than spammers when most good fighting games require you to be unpredictable with high-low mixups, etc to actually succeed in a competitive environment.

But yeah I would hate them to map moves on to the touch screen because it would hinder some of the newbies from actually learning to play the game properly. Super Street Fighter 4 3D comes to mind, and the lag online on that game just made things that much worse.

Fair enough, i didnt even know that SSF43d had lag, good to know, was thinking about getting it but i will just stick to the PS3 version. I dont mind touch screens, i like the way they did it for UMvs.C3 for Vita, you can set up rooms that dont allow touch screen use which is A ok for me
