It won't be as big of a gap as this generation, but give it a year or two and they definitely will be able to release a console more powerful than the Wii U for £399.

Halo5 at launch is very unlikely...

Possibly, I would say Gran Turismo 6 is even more unlikely. I bet both games are currently in development and planning now and they'll probably have dev kits very soon too. If they pull their finger out they can have a game ready intwo years.

6. Steal Nintendo's casual market when their guard is down (specifically Microsoft with Kinect).

Kinect never was as popular as Wiimotes... And sold relatively few games...

 That's because Wiimotes came with the console. For a peripheral, Kinect has sold incredibly well. If Kinect comes with the console as standard it could be a very useful tool and would be very appealing to the casual market.
