I feel like your graph underestimates the jaguar neogeo and turbografx16

Well, the chart is unscientific after all.

The Jaguar had some muscle, but it's bottle necks couldn't use it. I have one and it's garbage. Doom was good, but we're talking about the same generation with Golden Eye, Tomb Raider, and Panzer Dragoon.

The Neo Geo was a 2D powerhouse, but it wasn't a generational leap. I don't have one, they are stupid expensive, but it did have its limits.

The Turbo Grafx-16 was a great little system, but it was only half 16bit. It had a 16bit Graphics chip and an 8bit CPU. The games were great, but compared to the Genny and SNES it was underpowered. Like the Dreamcast it was designed to outclass the previous generation, but when it's contemporaries hit the market they outclassed it. I have both a TG-16 and a Turbo Duo and while impressive it just couldn't pull off the magic that the Genny and the SNES could.

yeah, perhaps I haven't taken nostalgia into account.

All I remember is the great games.
