I think it's far more likely that the PS4/720 won't sell 40mil, at least one of them...

Times change, you know. As others have said, anything with a pricetag of over $500/£350 is just asking to fail in this climate. It's just too much, even less is risky (as the 3DS/Vita scenario has shown us).
