It's funny how pricing Wii U games at $60 is too much because it's "old technology," yet no one questions the $60 price for 360 games. Old tech my ass.
The problem here is one of perception. Everyone has grown accustomed to Nintendo's games costing $50 while games on other consoles cost $60. This has fostered the perception that Nintendo's games (or games on Nintendo consoles) are inherently less valuable than PS3 or 360 games. Subconsciously we have started to view Nintendo as the Toyota to Sony and Microsoft's Lexus. Nintendo might be releasing a new model, but that doesn't make it a "luxury product" like the PS3 and 360. With higher prices comes the perception of greater quality, and some people are having a hard time accepting that Nintendo's games are just as valuable as PS360 games.
Don't worry, when Sony and Microsoft reveal that their next consoles' games will cost $70+, everything will go back to normal.
