Monster Hunter Comfirmed for the Wii U! So like the 3DS, the Wii U just won this coming Gen!

It does. I don't know about gamecube games, but I think it does too.

Very unlikely: even the Wii doesn't play Gamecube games (the Gamecube-compatible model has been discontinued).  However, it is reasonable to speculate that some GameCube games might appear as Virtual Console for Wii U.
