My 4 year old computer has 4 GB of ram and it can play the same games my 360 or PS3 can. Ammount of ram or clockspeed of cpus have nothing to do with real world performance.
My 2008 PC has 2x3.16 Ghz + 4gb and my 2011 laptop has 2x2.66 ghz + 4gb and is faster.
My 2003 PC has 3ghz my phone has 800mhz and my phone can display 1080p videos and is faster.
etc etc.
I guess they use special ram that wont work on computers so I dont think they can simply but 4 or 8 into it. Sure additional 4gb standard PC ram would be cool and could help the WiiU's 1gb.
