| Mr Khan said: Something i've never known (also known as another part in the series of "Mr Khan is too lazy to google this"), what the hell is a Flop? It seems to measure computing "capacity" as opposed to computing "speed." What's the deal there? |
FLOP is an abbreviation of FLoating-point OPeration, basically a flop is taking 2+ floating point numbers and performing a calculation. A floating point number is how computers store a real number, which is a number with a decimal point basically. Vs intigers which are whole numbers "1,2,3 etc".
