A) no i'm not making it up. B) sorry, but if i have to spend 5 min customizing the control scheme to make the game not suck ... then the control scheme sucks. with the wiimote i have flicker to deal with (sorry but my gaming room is sunny) which makes the controls go crazy. ps Move doesn't have the flicker issue but it doesn't stay calibrated well enough for long enough. in either case calibration is never actually correct...by that i mean pointing straight at the thing i want to shoot on the screen never puts the aiming reticule on the thing i want to shoot. i'm sorry, but aiming 3 feet above my target to hit my target isn't fun. ..but then there's the real issue. rest. i'm not an idiot, i get that sitting down on the couch works better than standing. but because every fps i've played has the same mouse/keyboard deadzone type controls ... if you rest even a tiny tinsty little bit at any point that isn't a cut scene your characters starts turning in ridiculously awkard fashions. now go read kyliedog's post. he states better than i could about turning and aiming.
i'm sorry but dual analog has far more precise control. so back to what i said, pointer control is kind fun of for slow paced, single player games set to easy mode. IR works well enough there and is sometimes it is a refreshing alternative. but to be competitive...i'm sorry but dual analog wins. |
A) You are making it up, since you stated it as if it was a fact, just becasue you need aim assisst.
B) You need 5 minutes to customize the controls lol, or you could just choose a preset class like the other cods. I set my turning speed in COD on 360 to insane(10) all the time. On the Wii i set it to either advanced or completely customize the controller myself which you can't do at all on 360/PS3. I noticed people like that drop shot setting on 360/PS3 alot. Which they set their controls to ducking with the click in the right analog, so they can aim and duck at the same time. Which on Wii is already possible since aiming is done with the entire hand w/o a button press. That's why many people prefer it over DA. Which is sad seeing the reticule follow an enemy when they run across the the screen lol, even with it turned off, and yet you believe its more precise lol. Obviously thats impossible on the Wii since they would have to physically move the reticule and lock on is in a couple of FPS on Wii, not in COD for Wii at all.
The other flaw in your logic is the if you rest even alittle the character will turn ackwardly lol, or if you actually turn that off then you wouldn't have that problem. When the cursor goes off screen it resets to the center waiting for you to aim back at the screen. Your lack of knowledge of these simple options proves you have never actually cared to use the Wii remote or have never used it at all and are just trying to troll. If you are trolling I suggest you not make it look so obvious. You guys are always pointing out the Wii games that have lock on even though you don't have to use it and many FPS on Wii dont have it at all. But never realize the highest selling FPS on 360/PS3 abuse the crap out of aim assist and don't even allow you to actually turn it completely off.
If you need rest why even comment in this section at all lol, the Wii remote clearly isn't for you. So why even care for this topic, is eveything Wii related really that interesting to you? He was clearly talking to posters that use it, not someone that hates it.
DA isn't competitive, its complete and utter hand holding. Quickscoping is completely obvious with its aim assist. Look up ThisJoseph on Xbox Live, COD Black Ops, Im far from bad and have plenty of experience with CoD. Thats my neighbors Xbox by the way, I sold mine waiting for WiiU. My Xbox Live name was Phenomajp08. Once Black ops released I sold my Xbox and was playing with my friend split screen, thats why I couldn't do that well on Black ops with that profile. My MW2 stats with Phenomajp08 are better, with ThisJoseph i play on my own screen in Black ops thats why my stats under that profile is better. I moved so i haven't been playing my neighbors xbox at all. I just put this here so you can know im legit and have experienced both. I technically have a PSN profile as well but haven't played that one in a while and don't get to play often. My PSN is Chaosajp08, i forgot which COD i was playing under their though.
