Hey everyone
As you have probably seen we have added a news section to the main homepage now and we have a plea.
Can all of you regular guys (yes, we mean you) help us build up the news part of the site. We wanna post all the latest stories as they happen and try to make VG Charts your one-stop site for all the latest industry-related news and so on. The more we can build the site and build a reputation, the more industry people we can approach to give exclusive interviews / articles and so on.
Also, this is a good chance for any of you who fancy writing for a major website / videogame journalism etc. We'd love to take a couple more people on to help with the site in the future - admins / news writers / general contributors - so if you are keen on this then let me know. We have a few candidates already - people who are regulars on here and show the kind of qualities we are after - but nothing is decided yet.
So here's what we are asking - please post as many of the latest upcoming news stories relating to new game releases, industry reports, sales news, screenshots and so on in the news section. It takes literally seconds to post a story. Then, to help us get the site around even more and build a reputation, help us post articles on sites such as digg and del.icio.us - again this takes mere seconds.
We really want to build a strong, thriving community here on vgcharts. Already we have industry guys from Sony and Nintendo signed up to the site (emails @nintendo.com and @sony.co.jp) as well as a lot of interest from the general industry and media and at the end of the day it is you guys who are helping.
We have, in my opinion, the best gaming forums on the net - i don't think we've had one instance yet where we needed to ban anybody or step into a thread. All conversations have been mature, informational and a joy to read - we are lucky to have build up such a great group already.
Help us to spread the word, attract the right sort of people (tech-savvy, industry-watching gamers, not the sort of stupid fanboys you get on other sites) and make vgcharts the kind of site you all want.
Thanks !!
diamuerto - you beat me.
I would like to see some sort of moderation. However as things are now it's not really needed however if a problem happens, nothing can really be done. There have been instances people have been banned. And your news system needs to be more exclusive. :)
