It would be time for Sony/Nintendo/MS to sh*t a brick if that happened.
I don't think that's in the cards immediately though. Sept. 12th is all about iPhone 5 and the new iOS.
If there was an announcement like this, my guess is it would be alongside the unveiling of iTV, the much speculated upon line of TVs that Apple has been working on and referred to in Steve Jobs' biography.
