Can you prove those statements?

Not with facts, because to do so would involve taking a poll of MK users and comparing it to the other games (well there may be studies done of that kind, but I am not willing to look for them)... but it is common knowledge that Mario Kart appeals to younger, older and more female gamers than the average game, many Nintendo games are designed to have a broad appeal.
