I don't think it's Wii as much as two i's together. When you see ii you think two I's which signifies two people together. Since all gamers are single overweight males the ii sends a subliminal message to your brain and makes you think you'll be together with someone. When you actually play the games you really connect with the Mii's (again 2 i's) or the Mario characters so you get hooked.
Nintendo uses this method so you'll search out more Wii games instead of looking for a female thus keeping you hooked. Then, the single overweight males pick a fight with Jay520 and beat him up because they are so frustrated from being lonely.
