Actually, the rule doesn't apply. 'Playstation' isn't the name of the console. 'Playstation 3' is the name of the console. 'Playstation' is just the name of the brand.

If there was a game with 'Playstation 3' in the title, that game would do 20 million easy. 

it's not because it has the console but because Wii gained a lot of publicity and became a brand name. People buy typically Levis and other major brand names for jeans no just any old pair. The same applies to Wii. Playstation hasn't really gotten that much GOOD publicity to incite that PASBR will become a best seller.
