I'd also recommed bands like Stratovarius and Nightwish if you like Kamelot's style of metal. Metal can be tough to get into at first because it's always stereotyped as a bunch of pasty white dudes with Cookie Monster vocals, especially here in the US where the only "metal" the average person knows besides Metallica is stuff like Slipknot and Disturbed. But there's so much great metal music out there that covers almost the entire music spectrum from the harder thrashy stuff obviously, to the more melodic and symphonic, and even folksy / blues metal if you can believe it. |
bold: I LOVE black halo alot, it's a shame Roy Khan left the band for good. They released a new single 2 days ago, I am not sure how I feel about it. The new vocalist feels like a softer Roy :/. I am checking nightwish as I am writing this, they certainly sound similar.
Not bold: I got a lifetime to explore music, I'll cover all of those sometime ;D
