The problem is that if a game is trying to be super realistic, I'm going to be more critical of how realistic it is. Am I alone on this? Honestly though, look at the turtle in the beginning, it very very shakily moves around which seems very abnormal. My Chao in Sonic Adventure 2 never did that! :P
Actually, I know I'm not alone on that. The new crysis 3 trailer starts off with a bird flying, and it looks really inorganic with its motions. The frog jumping looked very inorganic as well. I wasn't the only one bugged by it, as all of my friends at work said they thought it was a bad idea to start a trailer with such a blocky bird animation. I have nothing against the Crysis series, I'm just speaking my mind.
How does motion blur add realism? I want to hear the real argument for it, not just the conclusion. In real life we don't shake our vision and blur our vision like that at all.
