That's because no strategy exists beyond pseudo-religious hucksterism and promising free shit to all the various Democratic constituencies. The party has gone completely insane, and aside from the holy sacrament that is abortion, it doesn't really seem to stand for anything anymore except for clinging to power for power's own sake.
