I wonder if Nintendo would go as far as offering some items that are more suitable to be controlled with motion or pointer controls, and others that are a better match for buttons or a touch screen. Then let the player decide which ones they prefer to equip on their adventure.

This would effectively give players two different ways to control the game, depending on their love/hate of motion controls, but (more importantly IMO) would also give the game a much more open-ended feeling, similar to traditional RPGs, and therefor add much replay-ability.

Obviously this would require significantly more development effort... but what do you think? Would it be worth it? I think if the items are fun enough to use and the overworld is well made, it could make for a fantastic sandbox experience.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!
