okay, gaming costs money, but that doesn't mean that it has to cost you more money than neccesary. I'd like to see how thrifty people are about the games they buy.

I got Zelda:TP for $40 before I even managed to get a Wii.

I got  Excite Truck for $15 from a rental store that was liquidating its stock.

I'll probably also be getting used copies of Metroid Prime 3 Zack & Wiki for around $25 or so each. i've seen them sell for back and forth between $20 and $30, so I'm biding my time to get a good deal on those.

So far, Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros Melee are the only games I've really paid full price for.

 

What about everyone else? Now that everything has shifted to a disc based media system, it's a lot less of an issue to buy second hand or rent before buying. I've already rented Metroid Prime, which sinched it as a buy for me, I'll probably be doing the same for Zack and Wiki and No More Heroes, if at all possible.

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.
