well Nintendo doesn't usually give you choices in how to play your game. lets say they do that and in the future decide to do something different should they include all three ways to play a game?
the problem I see in SS is it has many different things that can effect the sales and motion is just one of them the other is the stile, third its a second Zelda which sells less than the first Zelda going by sales. Fourth it has kind of a hub which is different than Zeldas before it (I prefer a world like TP/OoT)
the question is does Nintendo know which one of these is the reason?
