The Wii won this gen even if all sells stop tomorrow. I still don't undestand where people get the idea that Nintendo made a mistake with the Wii. The only mistake was no providing enough high quality games on the console, not the power. |
Ninty did just about as well as they could and yes not going with more power was a mistake becasue they missed out on a bunch of big 3rd party games because of it, they could have gone with a little more and they still would have been the cheapest on the market and still won. This caused a lot of people to have to buy secondary consoles or PC just to play the games they were missing out(GTA RDR, SF) on or play versions of games that werent complete crap compared to the HDs/PC version(COD, Spidey, NFS, etc.) and if you dont believe that wasnt a factor then you just need to look and see all the multiplat games that sold better on PS3 or 360 or both despite the WIi having much more consoles in the wild. But if all you care about is sales( and im sure you do) you wont get this anyway.
