Square Enix has truly solidified themselves as Japanese Capcom of RPG's. They don't need DLC or upgraded editions of their games to screw their fans though. Their wannabe western milking business model is kicking in just like Capcom. The smartest thing any reasonable Final Fantasy fan can do is follow Sakaguchi by buying Lost Odyssey and the Last Story. Final Fantasy died in spirit when he left.

Gonna have to disagree at least the Capcom games(fighters at least) are ENJOYABLE a hell of alot more than the FF series of late, actually the only ones was dissapointed with was 13 and to a lesser extent 14

Capcom has been screwing us all since childhood, duping us into buying three versions of Street Fighter during childhood. Capcom screwed the Street Fighter and MVC fans plain and simple. Cutting off DLC and forcing them to fork out about fourty dollars for 3-4 more characters than they already had in a new expanded game is highway robbery. Square Enix never stopped listening to their fanbase until this generation.

im debating you there, but i still hold Capcom a little higher than SE this gen, because they are screwing around but at the very least the fighting games themselves are quality, cant really say the same for the FF games this gen, at least not all of them

SE has lost the Japanese flavor that made them great. Whats great about SE today is purely western (which Capcom has been turning into as well). I could rant about SquareEnix not being able to fill the shoes of Squaresoft in quality, but thats another story. The point is SE doesn't have the balls to pull the plug on the game. They could just spare us all the heartache but they wont. Capcom has never had a title that had the weight of a console on it either.
