You are correct that nintendo will beat out xbox in japan. but i don't think they will beat out sony. the wii has sputtered the last couple years and has yet to reach 100 million units. what makes you think the wii u will do any better. 3rd party support will continue to be an issue especially since the wii u won't be able to handle newer games once the ps4 and next xbox hit shelves. consoles sales will be down across the board. what started as a revolution in gaming has quickly been seen for what it is. motion controls are at best an interesting alternative while at worst they are a gimmick. i bought a wii at the height of the popularity. it has done nothing but sit gathering dust for the past year or so. once people run out of the first party games which nintendo always does a good job with, there won't be that third party stuff to fall on. and for those who say the wii u will be powerful enough don't make me laugh. the wii u barely puts nintendo ahead of current gen. if you guys would look at the amount of power that will likely be going into the next gen xbox and ps, you'll quickly realize that the power differencial will quickly be a problem for nintendo again and third party support will dry up. playstation and xbox will be around 50-60 million units each for the next gen while wii u will be somewhere around 40 million or maybe 50 if the fanboys come out in force. nintendo has always been the cheaper console and that has been what drives their sales. this gen they will be priced right alongside sony and microsoft. nintendo first party won't be enough to save this unworthy console from last place

Stopped reading after this - quite possibly the most overused cliche about the Wii, or any console, this generation.
