Let us lower minimum wage so the poor will have to work twice as hard for the same amount of money!  Sounds just about right for this fucked up human world.

If minimum wage allows the poor to work less and get more, why not put the minimum wage at $50?

Then you would have too much inflation.  Our money supply is made up anyways.  A better question is why give all the banks bail outs during the crises?  Why not just give each person 20k.  I forget the real figure but it would have been a decent amount for each person.  A lot of people probably could have made their mortgage payments then and not go into foreclosure.

I don't disagree that giving each person $20k would have been "Better" in the fact that the TARP funds were useless. But still, the best way to go would have been to simply let the banks fall, give no bailouts, and instead try to tackle the debt which will cause vast amounts of inflation in the long term.

But I digress, if your argument is that raising the minimum wage destroys the value of what you earn, then what do you think that absolving the minimum wage would do? By your logic, it'd mean 10 cents for bread, and 5 cents for a hamburger.. Which may not be too far from the truth.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
