Their probably staying away from the original storyline and pushing Lightning as the new mascot for the FF series. This is possibly gonna end up being a whole new series, I wouldnt be surprised.

Which honestly wouldn't have bugged me if they didn't make Final Fantasy XIII-2, which I did enjoy. I mean everything they did in that game was for what? Not like they solved anything in the story. I mean, unless this game leads into Final Fantasy XIII-3, to actually finish up the story, I think I'm going to be dissapointed.
