The Wii-kind of games are still coming to the Wii U and the Wii-controls are also key to the WiiU. The complaints about Nintendo E3, were that it was far to casual. Nintendo is clearly aiming for the blue ocean. Most (fear or) think so. The Wiipad may have dual analog, but it also has a touch screen which most persons will use intuitively (Select drag - Select press). Sure, it's a reaction to the touch screen rage. But that's becoming the new norm. Nintendo can't ignore that. After all, they pride themselves on good, simple gameplay. |
Thank you, someone besides me has been paying attention. None of what we have seen from the WiiU screams core target at all lol. People say ZombU but what about Red Steel, i guess the Wii targeted core gamers to lol. 3rd party ports, didnt the Wii have Bully, Godfather, and Scarface, all 3rd party ports. The WiiU is obviously for the ninty fans and casuals, with alittle core thrown in to steal some sells from PS4 and nextbox. The point of the WiiU is to establish a base before PS4 and nextbox arrive, when they arrive Ninty is looking to have most of their games to keep their base from building. If they sell the WiiU to mommy and daddy or little john or jane, it allows them to target the core gamer in the household because the system is already within the household, so they only need to purchase the core game and that will keep them away from purchasing PS4 or nextbox, doesnt mean it will work obviously.
