I'm pretty sure Pachter predicted the PSV to not sell brilliantly - and wasn't he predicting great things for the 3DS at one point? Maybe I'm imagining things

Pachter said that the PSV would be dead on arrival, but later on retracted it and stated that the PSV's first three months total would eclipse the one of the 3DS. The reality is that the PSV is the worst selling major video game system since the Dreamcast.

About the 3DS, Pachter said that Nintendo is making a mistake by only charging $250 for it. They should have gone with $300, because it's going to have incredibly high demand. The reality is that the 3DS stumbled out of the gates which forced Nintendo to announce a major price cut and run their business at a loss.

So in both cases he was way off the mark.

But in-line with his pachterness.
