If minimum wage allows the poor to work less and get more, why not put the minimum wage at $50?

Then you would have too much inflation.  Our money supply is made up anyways.  A better question is why give all the banks bail outs during the crises?  Why not just give each person 20k.  I forget the real figure but it would have been a decent amount for each person.  A lot of people probably could have made their mortgage payments then and not go into foreclosure.
