Big Boss and Zero = 2 phantoms were born
......because since the death of the Boss, they were already dead, or were living dead (or so says Big Boss in the epilogue of MGS4). That is why the phantoms reference.
And the text is written in mirror image, because even though the 2 were trying to do the Boss will, each one of them was the opposite of the other. Just as an object and it´s mirror image, both pics represent the same object, and yet one is the opposite of the other.
Looks like kojima smoke weed before creating the story and the theme of the game XD
