Oh be quiet. That was years ago and most probably was a piece of junk.
@OP. The Sony 3D headset is similar in experience minus the virtual reality. It is my opinion that these kinds of technologies that isolate you from reality are still far from mainstream adoption because it is in a sense a hazard to be connected to a device without seeing what's happening around you, unless it's in a controlled environment. Until this becomes very lightweight and easily disconnectable without having to jump in and out of reality, it will be a commercial problem.
