DOn't you think that's more about you than the games? What about current games means you don't play them over and over again? I assume I don't do that myself because I actually have money now and don't have endless free time. What was weird about being a kid is that I had very little money to buy games but I had tons of free time to play them, so I'd play them over and over again. I've played Earthbound probably 30 times, and I played through Mother 3 last year and I was done after one time because these days I have the exact opposite situation, less free time but relatively lots of money to spend on gaming.
OT: I think that most are to the fans, and that's who will be buying it first day anyway.
also, I agree that selling two games for 40 is better than one for 60, but the current situation isn't really like that as we've seen. Those who don't want to spend 60 know that it'll be cheaper later so they wait. So really it's selling two games for 40 or one game for 60 and another for 40 later down the line.
