I hope this was being sarcastic.  Sony is essentially saying that you aren't allowed to lend out a game that is theoretically yours.  The fact that it is digital, and not physical, is immaterial--you bought it and if they don't like what you're doing with it, well, they can go cry because you own it now.

Not that Nintendo's any better--3DS and Wii downloaded games can't even be moved off their host system at all without a lot of hassle.
