I think a Zelda reveal is more suited for e3 - it's just not an iconic japanese game, imo.
Spirit Tracks was announced at e3
Skyward Sword was announced at e3 (kinda... there was a teaser poster before it)
Ocarina of Time 3D was announced at e3
It would be more of a shock to me than when NSMB2 was announced at ND. And that was pretty big
