I think the sucess of the WiiU depends on how much ppl will decide to comit to this new console even before knowing anythign about the next box and the new playstation. If Nintendo has a good marketing strat and realy delivers an interesting enought product its on the right way to be the top seller console next gem, if it fails to impress ppl will choose to wait and them itll be all about how superior or not the new Microsoft and Sony conseles are. |
The PS3 selling the most this year still doesn't change the fact that it's been a flop for Sony. Not only have they lost a significant part of their market share but they've been making a loss ever since the PS3 was launched. If something makes less money than what has been spent on it then it's a flop.
I also don't see how the PS3 holds the biggest chunk of the conventional gamers market. The main reason the PS3 has been catching up to the 360 is because the 360 just doesn't and will never sell in Japan. That's about a 7 million advantage for Sony right there. But install base is nowhere near a good indication of what kind of gamers own a specific console. I could say the 360 has more conventional gamers based on the fact it has a much higher number of games sold per console and more games means real gamers. It's all just baseless assumptions really.
So if you're gonna criticize someones predictions at least make sure you use facts yourself. And leave personal feelings as they are, don't mistake those for facts either.
