I agree with posters like carlos3189. No one in Japan cares about Sony in gaming anymore. Not even America. Sony's lack of innovation combined with overpriced hardware has forced Japan & America to act. They spoke with their wallets & have chosen Nintendo.
The only reason why PS3 & PSP were relevant & still alive in Japan (& PS3 in America & Europe) was because of the big success off of the PS2 & Monster Hunter (which is the main reason why PSP was still alive in Japan in the first place where the handheld was dying off everywhere else).
I have a feeling that things are going to be more tougher for Sony with Vita & PS4 in both countries. Japanese 3rd party developers are gonna go towards the 3DS & Wii U more so than PS4 & Vita.
