On the topic of thee original post. I completely agree. The mainstream media is very quick to put the doom and gloom on anything Nintendo does. From people openly saying the 3DS was a disaster and Nintendo is on its last legs (lacking innovation and even losing their casual market), to claiming everything Nintendo does is the last good thing the company will do. I am extremely tired of the media's obvious slant in reporting. When they decide to cover Nintendo, it is mostly negative slander and that is if they pay Nintendo attention at all. Remember Monster Hunter Tri? One of the best games of the year on any console? Oh the media didn't. They act like the game never happened. Even Gamestop (who ran a free demo promotion of the game) neglected to put the game on its soon to be released board (they also missed Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom on that board as well, and I have some 70 pictures from different Gamestops all over the country that I used in an anti-Gamestop campaign a couple years ago) before it was released. It is like, the media does everything they can to create this image of Nintendo not giving a fuck about getting good games on their console. And people that are not in the know about Nintendo, they eat this bullshit up. It is disturbing.

Vita is without a doubt, a massive flop. There is no pretty way to put it. If I made a Vita-esque mistake in business, there would be absolutely NOBODY willing to grant me a loan to distribute pencils or sell lemonade on the sidewalk by my house for 25 cent a cup. Yet, the mainstream media is almost pussyfoot scare to write an article that is half as harsh as thee articles we saw about 3DS being doomed because it was not outperforming the DS in the same time span. And to top that off, all thee, "analysis" was totally off base and people still use these arguments today as if they have not already been disproved. Why is everyone in the media afraid to admit the truth? Even when Sony said, "599 US dollars" the majority of the hate came from internet users rather than mainstream media.

What I see Nintendo going through is absolutely crazy. It is as if they are the company losing billions of dollars a year (uhhhh no) and laying off 10,000 workers and closing down studio after studio. However, the comapny that does all those things, not one doom and gloom, not one, "is this thee end of..." not one, "they are losing reality with gamers..." article from major mainstream media. People are so easy to jump all over Nintendo, even when they do things correctly (drop 3DS price and realease a good first party title) as opposed other companies making huge mistakes (not lowering price of Vita and still no provoking software), Nintendo is the company all the hate articles are aimed towards.

I wish it would change because it is underserving. I am not trying to say Nintendo does everything correctly, but come on now... it seems that from a media standpoint, everything Nintendo does is a sign of thee end of the company. I am tired of it.
