Wii U specs are surprising, says Sonic developer, specifically the GPU and memory

I have a lot of issues with posts in this topic but I will address those which come to my mind as the strongest.

I saw a poster say Nintendo has a history of releasing underpowered consoles. Consoles? As in, more than one? Lets run this back real fast. Gamecube was underpowered? No. Nintendo 64 was underpowered? No. SNES was underpowered? No. NES was underpowered? No. Game Boy was underpowered (relative since there was no hand held market)? No. Game Boy Advance was underpowered? No. DS was underpowered? No. 3DS is underpowered? No.

Okay, so we have a history of one console being underpowered. Now, one may try to say DS and 3DS are not as powerful as PSP and Vita respectively but I am not asking about most powerful, I am asking about UNDERPOWERED, which nobody could argue would be true of either console. Your talk of Nintendo's history is very off and out of touch with reality.

Second, I do see a lot of backhanded talk when it comes to WiiU. Every time I see a topic that says WiiU has more power or more to offer, or is a stronger console, I see comments of, "well it should be more powerful than a 6/7 year old console" as if you are not the people saying it is not. It is you, whom articles like this are directed at and it is you who try to deflect this positive information into negative information after your initial negative claims are put on blast. We fans of the console already know it is more powerful than the current generation, we are not trying to defend WiiU, we are trying to show the people that give untruthful opinions (as facts) thee error of their ways. It is simple, we are not the doubters, and therefore, this is not a reassurance for us. You are the doubters and therefore, this should help paint a more concrete picture for you what the system will be capable of. This way, the lies and slander can be slowed down (or hell, maybe even stopped).

As far as this news goes, to me it is not news at all. There is nothing here that truly evokes me. I do not post very often, especially when it comes to news about WiiU but when I see some people trying to take positive and informative news and spin it, I feel someone must call them out. If you honestly believe WiiU will be weaker than the current generation of consoles, make a thread now, and come back to it later if you are correct. Stop trying to pass off your opinion as fact and when your opinion comes into jepordy, do not be afraid to own that fact. I am tired of people acting like Nintendo has done something so wrong to the video gaming industry. If anything, they are doing the most correct (why else is everyone doing so much to intergrate their work?) over the past decade. This petty stuff needs to stop.
