Well, the first 3DTV's were in 2006 and still haven't yet become viable. HDTV's were 2002, and only just now are really viable for everyone. So it'll be at least 2016 before most people could afford a 4KTV.


The first HDTVs were sold in 1998 in the US ...

Really? That long ago? I thought it was 2 years after the millenium, not before...
