I think some of us here a "jumping the gun" a little bit here, this 4k resolution seems to be movie purposes primarily, we don't for a fact if Sony will use this a a standard for their gaming(even if that come to fruition probably only Sony's first-parties will use it...and probably PSN games)
we all know that blu-ray itself still has alot of room before it becomes obsolete, with Sony being one of the leaders of Blu-ray tech, I highly doubt they will shoot themselves in the foot by making this their new format a standard for all of the PS4's usage. I think the only thing that will be expensive here will be the TV to support the feature, with Sony already having a $200 4k blu-ray player with the PS4 about a year and some change away, the price/manufacturing can definitely be reduced.
