What is funny is that when PS3 came out everyone said "It's too early. HDTV are too expensive."

Look how that turned out.

Now it's "It's too early. UHDTV are too expensive."

PS4 won't be releasing for at least another 12-18 months. So at some point within the first 2-3 years of PS4 lifetime those UHDTV prices will drop dramatically.

No idea how this is being spun as a negative, let alone people thinking this will result in a $400-$600 console, lol.

It doesn't work that way. It was a different time with a different readiness for adoption. Look what happened to 3D?

Come on the trend is not as simple as you lay it out man.

It's already been said that adoption of BD was sluggish at best, so to much lesser extent 4k.

3DTV and 4K are not the same. It is the Smart TVs that will be pushing the 4K.

It also isn't as dire as you all make it out to be. Adding 4K support isn't going to jump costs dramatically, expecially since it is going to be used for BD movies. Many PC graphic cards can already push 4K resolution. 1080p isn't what made PS3 so expensive, you know that right?

This is being blown way out of proportion.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
