Well because gamers aren't that excited for it. Nintendo hasn't shown any games that really cater to it's hardcore fanbase. It's hardcore fanbase are the ones that make their voices heard on blogs, through friends, and on forums. Pikmin 3 is the only game that really does that, and it was never one of their best sellers. If Nintendo took steps to bring back it's hardcore crowd then they would own the best of both worlds, considering they already have the casual market. From personal experience, many of my friends have drifted away from Nintendo due to the Wii.(although I'm not one of them).
